Well, here we go again with my infrequent blog updates. First of all, I want everyone to know, I love my kids. They have had a crappy couple of years and they are doing great. That being said we still have our moments, but overall, I think we are doing great. I saw them jumping on the trampoline yesterday and the thought struck me. Those are pretty good kids. My great grandmother used to say that, "Every old crow thinks hers is the blackest." And while that is true I do try to remember that and not be too over the top, LOL.
Secondly, on the dating front. I found a true friend. Not on a dating site and not even meaning to. Funny story about this. We met on a bulletin board support group for widows and widowers. She and I exchanged some private messages, then she started chatting with me live one day and now we BlackBerry PIN Message each other. So thanks to the grace of God I am not lonely any longer. She and I hit it off really well, and it is amazing how similiar we are. Even down to the the length of time we were married. I know God's hand is in this. ANyway she flew out two weeks ago and we went to Yellowstone the weekend that it opened. The only negative thing about the relationship is the distance. She lives in Waynesville NC. That is right North Carolina. Long way from Idaho. Obviously that is the one serious drawback to the relationship. Neither one of us is in any position to move right now. So we are just sitting back and waiting on God to show up and show us what to do. Help us by praying that He shows up soon!

That song really explains my life right now.  I want to say that my life sucks, but that wouldn't be accurate.  Actually my life is pretty good except not having anyone to share it with.  My kids are good, my house is about to be better( I am finally getting rid of the hideous carpet n my kitchen), financially I am ok, my job is stable ( I even interviewed for another position).  So why am I so down?  I am so lonely!  My kids are with me and I am still lonely.  I am trying the electronic method of trying to get dates, but I guess I am repulsive to women.  I have sent out over 70 e-mails in the past month and have gotten 2 responses. 

I guess I am being impatient, or too picky.  My views of dating are, why date someone you don't want to spend the rest of your life with?  So that knocks out most of the women in the local area.  I won't date non-Christians.  The Bible says not to be unequally yoked.  Period.  Where is the wiggle room in that?  I don't go to bars.  I feel guilty if I go dancing, because I want to spend time with my kids. 

I was dating a lady that I thougt was going to be the one.  But it got screwed up.  And I am having a tough time getting over it.  Maybe that is what is causing this.  I just want it to be over.  My first year after ReNee was easier than this.  Please pray for me.

Hey everybody! I don't know why I update every four months, but that is what it seems. Anyway, wanted to let everyone know I am still here and still keeping on. I coached an 8th grade football team this fall and thoroughly enjoyed it. We went 500 and hopefully taught the kids something about life as well as blocking and tackling. That was our goal anyway.
I have also started dating again. The lady went to high school with me in Tennessee so we have known each other for a long time. Even though she was older than me and would not have consented to speak to me in high school, LOL. But her brother and I played ball together for forever so I know her whole family, so it is ok. Our kids get along well and it is going really well. She has three and with my two, it gets hectic sometimes, but it is really good. Anyway thanks for reading this.

Hello Again

Sorry for the delay, but I have been really busy.  LOL  But everybody is I'm sure.  It has been 4 months since I posted here last.  Let me give you a rundown on what we have been doing.  

May- Trip to DisneyWorld-Awesome and Great and I will post pictures as soon as I get them back from my mother.  The only copies that I had were on a portable disk drive that died.  Just my luck huh?

June- Laura had a volleyball camp.  And went camping with her Girl Scout troop.  Also went riding on our 4-wheelers several times.  I will post some pictures.  Also ReNee's family had a family reunion in Arco that the kids went to for 4 days.  First four days that I had not been with the kids since ReNee died.  That is also when I joined FaceBook. 

July- 4th of July and Laura went to Church Camp.    Drove through Arco to drop Kyral off so he wouldn't have to ride all day long.  Dropped her and a friend off on Sunday at Cathedral Pines.  Which is 15 miles north of Sun Valley ID.   After I dropped her off it was a long ride back to Arco alone.  Very long.

August-  Laura went to Girl Scout Camp in McCall.  Now that is 6 hrs from Pocatello.  So we made a weekend out of it.  We went to Boise and had a great time.  We went to Cabelas, Zoo Boise and a movie.  I can highly recommend G-Force.  She was there at 4 pm on Sunday.  She was supposed to be picked up on Saturday.  On Monday I get an e-mail that all the information I had been given, read and discussed, had the wrong day on it.  I had to go get her on Friday.  Total HEADACHE.  Drove like a madman to get there, pick her up and then drove like a madman to get home.  But the drive home was worth it.  Went to see All Shook Up.  Totally cool, Shakespeare's 12th night set to Elvis music.  It was great.  Should have gone to see more.

Long Time No hear

Well, I want to apologize for not posting more here lately.  But I have a funny story to tell you.  It doesn't start out that way, but it ends well. I promise.  Monday the 23rd was ReNee's 38th birthday.  Obviously that was a long day for us, but at our counselor's idea, we made birthday cards for ReNee and tied them to a bunch of ballons and sent them up to Mommy.  Well the kids were on Spring Break ( a terrible joke on the kids, given the weather for the week, but I digress), and were staying with our friends.  Well the kids did the cards right.  They were beautiful, cards, stickers, punches, multiple colors, they were beautiful.  We tied a dozen ballons to them, sang happy birthday, and let them go.  They didn't get off the GROUND!  We had to go get another dozen ballons to get them off the ground.  It was the perfect cap to a not to perfect day.  Then as a added benefit the kids got presents that day.  ReNee's friends on Online Christian Parents got together and bought the kids Bibles with their names on the front.  Laura was so excited she couldn't talk, and if you know Laura that was some kind of an accomplishment!  Thanks everybody, Laura already treasures hers.  Kyral got his the othe night and wanted me to read it to him.  I asked him which part, and he said start at the beginning.  I'm sure we'll get there!!!

Wanted --- Pictures

Hey guys, I need your help.  Laura has mentioned on several occasions that she can't remember what ReNee looked like.  I questioned her about that and she means that she can't remember what she looked like, before she got sick and her hair fell out.  I bought her a digital picture frame yesterday and I am going to put it in her room with nothing but pictures of ReNee on it.  If you have any pictures that are in digital form, please send them to me.  Leave me a comment, with your e-mail address (don't worry I won't publish it), I'll email you and you can replay with the files.  If you have them in paper form, I'll scan them if I have to.  Thanks for your help!!

Our trip to Build-a-Bear

Well, we took a weekend trip to Salt Lake City this weekend.  OUr objective was to go to Cabela's, Build-a-Bear and generally have a good time.  We were extremely successful!  As you can see from the new album, the kids got new animals, Kyral got a bear and Laura got a dog.  Imagine that!!

I finally got in and started looking around and made a few changes.  Let me know what you think.  I accept feedback on anything except the new picture.  You see that was the last picture that was ever taken of the the two of us.  That was at our 15 yr anniversary dinner (thanks Ramona) and I don't think I will change that one for a while.

I finally got in!!

It's taken some time, but I finally got in to ReNee's Blog site.  I couldn't hack into this one, I finally contacted the host.  What a slacker I am, I know.  Anyway, I wanted to let everyone know that I will be posting here now. 

Keep checking back in, I have had several requests to keep this up, so I am endeavoring to persevere!!!

Did you think I was lost?

Well, maybe I am.  I have been feeling so lousy for several weeks and that is why I haven't updated here.  Hopefully soon I'll get some umph back and be able to post.
